4K technology supports a resolution of 3840 × 2160 in television and consumer media and a resolution of 4096 × 2160 for movie projection standards. The need for 4K was realized when there was a reduction in the PPI (Pixels per inch) on larger screens. As the size of the screen increases, the PPI reduces, which results into a compromised display quality.
This issue is resolved by 4K, which provides a seamless transmission of content with a High Dynamic Range (HDR) with the supported devices.
